Being an Intern at Fanscape:

As an intern, you will gain direct experience with major social media marketing campaigns and strategies through hands-on training and participation. Interns will assist our marketing team with current large-scale campaigns, from assisting with content for sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and other similar community sites to compiling and analyzing data for reports to the client, and much more. Internship specializations include Marketing/Social Media, Business Development, Graphic Design, Account Management and Research & Analytics.

You will assist us in all facets of outreach including building and maintaining social identities and keeping up-to-date on social media trends. You will regularly interact with core fans in social networks, message boards, video upload sites, microblogging sites, as well as use bookmarking sites and tracking sites to monitor the space. Your duties will also include various administrative tasks such as internet research, target list creation, database management, prizing and mailings, and assisting with any live events.

Fanscape is dedicated to providing a professional and enriching internship program. We pride ourselves on one-to-one interaction, individual intern projects and a fun and stimulating work environment. College course credit is mandatory for your time here. We will do our best to create hours that accommodate your class schedule, but a commitment of 3 to 4 days each week, totaling 15 to 30 hours per week is required.

 
Position Requirements
 
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited local academic institution (NO EXCEPTIONS)
  • A major in business administration, marketing, public relations, journalism, communications, social media or a related field
  • A strong interest in marketing and social media
  • Impeccable writing, communication and spelling abilities
  • Skilled in online research and analytical skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • A creative thinker who likes to come up with new and different ideas
  • Diligent work ethic and insatiable desire to learn
  • Experience on popular websites, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; beginner knowledge of Adobe Photoshop or HTML is helpful but not required
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and be very dependable as well as accountable
  • Ability to multi-task and keep deadlines
