Position: Marketing Coordinator

Responsible to: Marketing Supervisor

Pay Scale: $17.50 - $19

We are seeking a creative and proactive Marketing Coordinator with a strong focus in social media content creation to help drive our ongoing marketing efforts. This role is key in ensuring our brand remains engaging, consistent, and visible across digital platforms while also supporting broader marketing initiatives such as events, promotions, and client relations. The ideal candidate is confident on camera, stays current with social media trends, is highly organized, and can guide others in creating high-quality content.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Management: Research, create, and edit engaging social media content aligned with the brand strategy, monitor performance metrics to optimize engagement, and confidently appear on camera for content creation when required.

Event Coordination: Support the Marketing team in coordinating in-house and away events by assisting with planning, setup, and teardown while serving as a liaison between the Marketing team and other departments to ensure seamless execution.

Content Creation: Support the Marketing team with creating promotional materials, marketing flyers, and website updates, including copywriting and photography, while ensuring branding and consistency across all communication channels.

Donations and Inventory Management: Manage donation requests, track donated items for reporting, and maintain an organized inventory of marketing supplies and materials.

Team Training: Train and mentor “marketing helpers” on social media best practices and photography techniques, providing feedback on their progress and ensuring adherence to branding standards.

Administrative Support: Prepare client folders, assemble branded gifts, take meeting notes, track timelines to meet project deadlines, and assist with holiday decorating and other marketing tasks as needed.

Client Relations: Conduct facility tours, build positive relationships with local veterinarians, and serve as a role model by promoting a strong work ethic, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.

 
Position Requirements

Education & Experience: College degree (or currently enrolled) in Communications, Marketing, Social Media, Business, Public Relations, or related field

Industry Knowledge: Experience in hospitality, pet care, or customer service industries is preferred. Enthusiasm for pets and pet care services is essential, with knowledge of the pet industry being advantageous.

Content Creation: Proven experience in creating engaging social media content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Photoshop, video editing apps) is required, with the ability to produce high-quality visuals and copy that align with brand guidelines. A strong understanding of social media trends, audience engagement, and performance metrics is essential to optimize content strategies.

Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of social media platforms, email marketing, analytics, and digital marketing tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite, and Mailchimp. Familiarity with CRM and SEO tools is a plus.

Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience in creating compelling content and collaborating cross-functionally.

Project Management & Attention to Detail: Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and detail-oriented execution.

Teamwork: Interpersonal abilities to build relationships and work both collaboratively and independently.

Problem Solving & Creativity: A proactive approach to addressing challenges, with innovative solutions to drive success.

Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods; lift up to 50 lbs; and work outdoors as needed. Must be capable of sitting at a computer for extended periods.

Driver Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license, maintain a safe and clean driving record, and have proof of automobile insurance; must have the ability to drive a company van when necessary.
