Position Summary:

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Housekeeping department to ensure exceptional cleanliness, operational efficiency, and compliance with company and brand standards throughout the hotel. This role assists in managing staff scheduling, training, inspections, inventory control, payroll administration, and departmental operations while helping drive guest satisfaction and team performance.

The Housekeeping Supervisor serves as a hands-on operational leader who promotes a positive and productive work environment, supports departmental goals, and collaborates closely with other hotel departments to deliver an outstanding guest experience

Key Responsibilities:

Housekeeping Operations

  • Oversee daily housekeeping operations to ensure guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces meet company and brand cleanliness standards.
  • Monitor daily room assignments, productivity, and service levels to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Front Office and Engineering teams regarding room status, maintenance needs, and guest requests.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise and support housekeeping associates, including Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Laundry Attendants.
  • Assist with scheduling, staffing, payroll review, and labor management.
  • Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.

Training, Quality & Guest Service

  • Train and coach associates on cleaning procedures, service standards, and safety practices.
  • Conduct inspections of guestrooms and public areas to ensure quality and brand compliance.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest concerns and service requests.

Supervision & Compliance

  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, and organization of housekeeping supplies and equipment.
  • Utilize housekeeping management systems to track room status, assignments, inspections, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, safety regulations, and proper chemical handling procedures.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and support ongoing safety training initiatives.

Operational Support

  • Participate in departmental and hotel operational meetings.
  • Maintain flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
  • Serve as a visible and supportive leader throughout the property.

Required Skills, Experience and Knowledge:

  • Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressive housekeeping leadership experience within a hotel environment required.
  • Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations..
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and related computer applications required.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strong guest service skills and the ability to resolve issues professionally and efficiently.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and perform effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.
  • Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, required.

Rate: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
