All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.   Description BCHP is seeking a Full-Time Pediatric Medical Receptionist to work in BCHP's Bardonia Pediatrics Office in Bardonia, NY.    Requirements: Previous medical office administration or healthcare experience is preferred Experience in a pediatric environment is preferred Bilingual proficiency with English and Spanish preferred Experience with Electronic Medical Records is preferred  Familiarity with the NextGen EMR is a plus Pay: Pay rate approx. $20/hr to $21/hr, negotiable based on experience.  Schedule: The schedule of this position will be approx. 40 hours per week plus some Saturday mornings.  The hours are Monday through Friday 8:50am to 6:00pm The Saturday morning shift will be 8:50am to 1:00pm approximately one to two Saturdays per month. Benefits: 401K 401k Matching  Health Insurance  Dental / Vision Paid Time off  Life Insurance  Job Description:  Office responsibilities Verify all patient and family demographics Verify all insurance information Check the online pre-visit registration through the Phreesia program, adding and/or correcting any information in the patient database. Follow-up on any positive responses in the Coronavirus screening through Phreesia Phreesia should also be checked at the end of the day to prepare for the next day's visits. Incomplete registration and positive screenings should be dealt with at that time. Checking the online payment of balances and copayments, and assisting parents in making these payments at the time of the visit if not done prior to the visit Assisting new patients in completing the registration forms Updating all information in the patient's electronic record, including removing an Alerts that no longer apply Assist patients in obtaining access to the Patient Portal for each child in the family Manage referrals to specialists and insurance inquiries. Make appointments for future visits for patients as they exit.
