Product Engineer 

Description

We are looking for a skilled Product Engineer (II) to join our team. In this role, you will drive and support the development of new interieur products together with the European engineering team, ensuring smooth translation into production while maintaining quality, timing, and cost targets.

Key Responsibilities:

· Plan and execute engineering activities to meet project objectives and KPIs.

· Monitor and implement product changes initiated by customers or our design team.

· Support customer, supplier, and plant liaison for product development.

· Ensure product designs meet a design for manufacturing and assembly and QFD principles.

· Support the development milestones by driving the design gateways and reviews to reach the required results

· Assist with CAE simulations, dimensional variation analysis, and tool timing.

· Support PPAP, tool-trials, and robust process validation before tool shipment.

· Participate in APQP activities for new product introductions and model year changes.

· Handle CAD data reviews, BOM maintenance, and FMEA activities.

· Contribute to cost estimation, VAVE initiatives, and RFQ support.

· Ensure compliance with EHS and quality standards (IATF 16949).

Qualifications & Skills:

· Bachelor’s degree in Automotive, Plastics, or Mechanical Engineering OR 7 years’ experience in automotive production engineering.

· Minimum 4 years’ experience in automotive product engineering or 7 years in production engineering.

· Fluent in English and German.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Strong knowledge of GD\&T, DFM, DFA, CAE/FEA, CAD, FMEA, DVP\&R.

· Experience in full project lifecycle from concept to launch.

· Willingness to travel as required.
