Position Requirements

Primary Responsibilities

Providing a warm, welcoming greeting to our members and their guests. Communicate with members regarding reservations and act as a liaison between members, the Front of House, and food and beverage teams. Ensure that reservations are made and confirmed in compliance with The Quin service standards and ensuring high member satisfaction and an exceptional dining experience.

  • Understands all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines for The Quin
  • Be attentive of members’ needs
  • Manage day of reservations ensuring a smooth flow of reservations
  • Assist with future reservations and bookings for special events
  • Flag VIP and special occasion reservations and communicate them to management
  • Alert restaurant team of any conflicting reservation times or problematic requests
  • Assist in providing a pleasant dining experience
  • Assist in collection of credit cards from members and servers as needed.
  • Answer the telephone/take reservations/properly inform guests of all offerings
  • Perform opening and closing duties according to established side work checklist
  • Manage reservations and special event Outlook inboxes
  • Receive, track and own resolution of all incoming member requests
  • Have a complete knowledge of standards of service
  • Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in all applicable venues
  • Assist servers in the servicing of guests as needed
  • Assume 100% responsibility for the quality of services provided
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in the investigation of member complaints regarding food quality and service
  • Printing menus
  • Assisting with F&B scheduling
  • Coordinating with culinary outlet chef with food allergens and dietary restrictions
  • Confirming all reservations 3 days out for all outlets
  • Coordination with beverage manager on wine and specialty cocktails
  • Finding new solutions to maximize the reservations
  • Covering front of house and reception duties as needed
  • Help checking in guests/members for guest rooms
  • Manage schedule for reservation team through 7shifts and Paychex
  • Prompt follow-up for all missed calls and emails
  • Detailed reporting of usage, emails, calls, duration, number of incoming outgoing calls
  • Ability to assist in other related food and beverage outlets if and when required
  • Any additional tasks as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, and walk multiple flights of stairs.The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and reach with hands and arms.  The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience in a hotel or restaurant experience preferred
  • 2-3 years in a hospitality leadership position preferred
  • Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • A strong team player who supports their team and embraces ownership, accountability, and responsibility for the team’s work
  • Ability to learn and master NorthStar POS
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, good prioritization and follow up skills
  • Basic understanding of Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and Employment Legislation
  • Open availability and flexibility to work according to the needs of the business
  • Comfortable with WORD
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
