This Post-Acute Care Hospitalist position will be in Voorhees, NJ.

Job Summary:
• Responsible to provide administrative, management and medical services required to ensure the adequacy and appropriateness of the care rendered to assigned patients and residents in assigned locations during scheduled shifts, in emergencies as required and as otherwise needed.
• Responsible to supervise the provision of services rendered to assigned patients and residents provided by Non-Physician Provider(s) in the assigned locations.
Responsibilities:
• Consults with and advises the Administrator and Director of Nursing on the medically related aspects of patient and resident care and center operations, employee health community relations and staff development which may impact upon the care of assigned patients and residents.
• Participates as member of the location’s QAPI Committee, Infection Control Committee, Pharmacy Committee and Safety Committee when assigned or deemed appropriate.
• Provides in-service education for professional nursing staff and Non-Physician Provider (s) as requested or as need indicates to enhance the effectiveness and appropriateness of the care rendered to assigned residents of the assigned locations.
• Visits patients and residents as required to fulfill the staff Physician responsibilities and ensures through appropriate supervision of the physician extender(s) the fulfillment of these responsibilities in which the Non-Physician Provider(s) shares such responsibilities.
• Provides appropriate and timely documentation related to patient and resident care to meet ProMedica Senior Care policy, federal, state and local laws, regulations and guidelines. Provides appropriate and timely billing documentation for reimbursement under the federal Medicare Program, state Medicaid Program and commercial and managed care insurance plans. Ensures, through appropriate supervision of Non-Physician Provider(s), all assigned patient and resident care and billing documentation is appropriate, medically necessary and timely.
