What you’ll do as an IRU Representative?

This non-exempt role will oversee various aspects of customer accounts, including, but not limited to, customer service, collections, document processing and information processing and account updates. The Internal Recovery Unit Representative will provide customer care to internal and external customers via telephone and email.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Handle outbound calls and inbound calls surrounding consumer past due credit card accounts
  • Set up payment arrangements to bring past due accounts current
  • Educate customers and handle general customer inquires
  • Identify ways to improve service by using customer service skills
  • Accurately enter data onto multiple systems/applications
  • Read and interpret data to apply process steps that meet compliance requirements
  • Use training and online tools to complete tasks
  • Drive a “Great Place to Work” culture
  • Work with other members of team with other duties and special assignments as assigned

What you’ll need to succeed

You’ll be an effective listener, with great communication skills and strong customer service skills. You’ll be the kind of person who can engage and solve problems, as well as proving your analytical skills on a daily basis. On top of this, you’ll need proficient computer skills, and be comfortable utilizing PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook programs.

What you’ll need to be considered for this role

  • 6+ months of experience work in an office environment or in the Financial Service/Banking Industry

  • Confidence using a computer

  • Be 18-years-old or older

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • Be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the selection process

  • Effective 1-1-18, new hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a “consistently meets expectations” performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance requirement).
