Description

The Office of Corporate Planning, Performance and Strategy (CPPS) is responsible for strategic planning, corporate performance measurement, scorecard development and implementation, program evaluation and the improvement of coordination and integration of programmatic systems across the functional divisions of the organization. Under the guidance of the COO and in collaboration with the directors of the corporation’s divisions, CPPS leads projects and processes which are important to the accomplishment of overall corporate strategic goals, with particular emphasis on systems or operations which support improved corporate-wide programmatic performance and communications. 

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Analysis Services, the Senior Data Analyst is responsible for engaging in data driven analyses to evaluate NeighborWorks' programs and activities, and participates in program evaluation, analysis, design and execution. This work requires the ability to aggregate, review, analyze and present corporate performance measurement and market data needed by corporate management and the NeighborWorks network to set goals, monitor results and report to key stakeholders on performance against strategic and operational goals.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Providing analysis (trends, projections, and progress reports) related to performance measures and impact metrics needed for input to management planning and resource allocations and to respond to requirements and requests. Providing professional and technical support to internal customers in developing, designing and/or implementing tools and systems. Coordinating with the Office of Public Policy and Legislative Affairs and the Finance division to provide corporate data and analysis as needed. Developing and executing analytical projects for internal and external customers. Conducting GIS/mapping of selected datasets.

 
Position Requirements

(a) Education: A bachelor's degree is required.
(b) Experience: At least three (3) years' professional experience conducting program research and analysis, preferably in the non-profit or public sector.
(c) License, Certifications: None.
(d) Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities: Knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of research design, data collection, analysis and data reporting/presentation. Proficient in statistical analysis and cluster analysis. Understanding of databases and how to use and create them. Aptitude for learning new software to support research and analysis work. GIS/mapping capability.
(e) Technology: Demonstrated advanced proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Software (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as advanced statistical software (e.g. SPSS).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Master's degree is preferred.
