Description

The National Initiatives Division is comprised of three program areas that focus on progressive research and program development to support and enhance the critical lines of business of NeighborWorks Organizations in homeownership, real estate and neighborhood development, and community building and engagement. The division also includes a national Rural Initiative, and a robust Green Strategies agenda. Their role is to evaluate and disseminate information on impact for and to the greater affordable housing and community development industry and to ensure reach into particularly underserved areas.

POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Senior Director of National Homeownership & Lending, the LIFT Senior Analyst is responsible for engaging in data driven analyses to evaluate the LIFT NeighborWorks’ programs and activities, and participates in program evaluation, analysis, design and execution with an emphasis on its relationship to the homeownership performance on the corporate score card. This work requires the ability to aggregate, review, analyze and present performance measurement and market data needed by senior management to make informed investment and planning decisions. This is a term-limited role.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
Providing analysis (trends, projections, and progress reports) related to performance measures and impact metrics needed for input to management planning and resource allocations and to respond to requirements and requests; developing and maintaining all internal and external reports related to LIFT performance and production. Includes but is not limited to Board Report, Program Report, Sr. Manager’s Report, Semi-annual reports, and multiple reports due on a routine basis to Wells Fargo; coordinating with the Office of Public Policy/Legislative Affairs, Division of Finance and Administration and Division of Development and Communications to provide corporate data and analysis needed, particularly with regard to the impact of down payment or other LIFT related programmatic areas impacting the corporation’s homeownership goals; developing and executing analytical projects for internal and external customers as required and presenting results; supporting the participating NeighborWorks Organizations in the use of the CMS used to provide data and reports in the Quarterly or Annual Reports; conducting GIS/mapping of selected databases; and assisting in the review and analysis, when necessary, of evaluation results from NeighborWorks organizations.

 
Position Requirements

(a) Education: A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, non-profit management, public administration or related field is required.
(b) Experience: At least five (5) years’ professional experience conducting program research and analysis, preferably in the non-profit or public sector.
(c) Licenses, Certifications: None.  
(d) Competencies, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of research design, data collection, analysis and data reporting/presentation. Proficient in statistical analysis and cluster analysis. Understanding of databases and how to use and create them. Aptitude for learning new software to support research and analysis work. GIS/mapping capability. A working knowledge of Client Management Systems such as CMAX or HCO is recommended.
(e) Technology: Demonstrated advanced proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Software (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) as well as advanced statistical software (e.g. SPSS).
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A Master’s degree is preferred.

 
Duration Funded through 8/31/17  
Salary Range 120 Offer Range: $68K - $72K
