Hourly Rate: $15.50 - $16.50

Position Summary

We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Food Service Team Member to join our convenience store team. This role is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of fresh food items—including subs, salads, pizzas, fried chicken, appetizers, bakery items, and more—while ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble subs, salads, pizzas, fried chicken, appetizers, and bakery items (cookies, muffins, pastries, etc.) according to company recipes and portion standards.
  • Operate foodservice and bakery equipment safely and efficiently (ovens, fryers, slicers, etc.).
  • Ensure all food and bakery products are fresh, properly displayed, and visually appealing.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (including proper cooking, baking, holding, and storage procedures).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
  • Monitor product freshness and rotate stock to minimize waste.
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Take food and bakery orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Respond to customer questions, requests, or concerns with a positive attitude.
  • Assist with stocking, labeling, and inventory of food and bakery items.
  • Support teammates in meeting daily foodservice and store goals.
  • Follow company policies, health regulations, and brand standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous foodservice, bakery, or convenience store experience preferred, but not required—training provided.
  • Knowledge of food handling and safety standards a plus.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs. for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a kitchen/bakery environment around hot equipment and food.
