Position: Home Comfort & Commercial Fuels (HCCF) Dispatcher
Reports to: HCCF Director of Liquid Distribution
Status: Fulltime, exempt $55k - $70k
Hours for this position are 12 p.m. - 9 p.m. (Monday through Friday, Saturdays Required during winter (Heating Season).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
- Execute the everyday dispatching of Delivery Drivers within the designated market.
- Oversee the delivery drivers schedule and forecast workload.
- Consistently provide outstanding customer service and a positive reputation within the community.
- Maintain customer database to ensure current information.
- Manage and maintain daily exception report.
- Provide clear and concise communications with department managers, employees and customers.
- Efficiently learn and utilize industry specific software.
- Promote a culture of safety through daily communication, trainings, information/knowledge to employees. This includes about environmental safety measures and procedures; making sure employees follow all DOT, environmental, and company compliance 100% of the time.
- Identify and manage through issues and ensure immediate action is taken to resolve the issue.
- Utilize various in-truck technologies to help increase delivery efficiency and ensure safety standards are being met.
- Manage and maintain vehicle maintenance records and the timely service of designated equipment to ensure that all vehicles adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures 100% of the time.
- Provide oneself with a reliable means of transportation to and from work and the ability to be reached by telephone.
- Seasonal “On-Call” during peak times of business.
RESPONSIBILITIES – Responsibilities include and are not limited to:
- Schedule and coordinate all delivery calls as calls are received.
- Create dispatch tickets for all delivery requests and respond to all messages left overnight.
- Dispatch Drivers and debrief them after completion of each shift.
- Take incoming customer calls and dispatch in a timely manner - including after hours and weekends.
- Maintain the on-call schedule for the drivers when applicable.
- Ensure the appropriate use of company resources and assets.
- Perform work functions within all safety guidelines at all times.
- Report to work with minimal absenteeism or tardiness.
- Attend job related training and informational seminars as requested/provided.
- Perform other job related activities and special projects as assigned.
- Ensure that all pre and post trip inspections and compliance measures are being done in accordance with State, Federal and companywide policies where applicable.
- Comply with company dress code 100% of the time.
- Maintain confidentiality 100% of the time in regards to customer and company information.
QUALIFICATIONS – Qualifications include and are not limited to:
- Must be self-motivated, self-starter, results driven individual with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask and manage stressful situations.
- 2-5 years industry specific experience preferred but not required.
- Possess a high school/vocational school diploma or G.E.D. and related certification.
- Possess a valid driver's license and ability to obtain a valid CDL with additional endorsements preferred but not required.
