Position Overview:
The HR Manager will play a strategic and hands-on role in overseeing all aspects of human resources management. This includes recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, compensation, training and development, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will champion our values, support our teams, and contribute to Hellas’s continued success and growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with Hellas’s mission and business objectives
  • Oversee all HR department functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, compensation and benefits
  • Serve as a trusted partner to leadership across multiple locations, advising on people strategies and organizational planning
  • Lead recruitment efforts, including workforce planning, interviews, hiring, and onboarding
  • Foster a respectful and engaging workplace culture that promotes productivity and retention
  • Oversee and update compensation programs, benefits administration, and performance evaluation systems
  • Ensure legal compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and HR best practices
  • Handle employee relations issues and coach managers on performance and development
  • Manage training programs and support continuous learning and staff certifications
  • Prepare reports and filings including EEO-1, ACA, BLS, W-2s, and WOTC documentation
  • Create and implement succession planning initiatives.
  • Administer payroll processes including salaries, bonuses, and benefit deductions
  • Maintain and update the employee handbook and HR policies and procedures
  • Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and internal communication efforts
  • Oversee workers' compensation and assist in injury claim management and audits

 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of HR management experience with a track record of leadership and impact
  • Previous experience in a high volume restaurant is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SP, PHR or SPHR) required
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field is highly preferred
  • Deep knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with payroll systems, HRIS, and ATS platforms
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and lead in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • High degree of discretion, professionalism, and integrity
