Funding Coordinator 

Description

The Funding Coordinator assists the Funding Department in maintaining its administrative workflow. They are responsible for checking in and allocating new contracts, properly handling all interactions with customers and dealers, and receiving/sending all department mail and packages. In addition, they are responsible for preparing contract physical files for electronic scanning.

  • Receive all incoming finance packages.
  • Review final finance contract for accuracy.
  • Communicate with dealerships and customers on a daily basis.
  • Prepare all booked files for electronic scanning.
  • Coordinate their efforts with Funding leadership.
  • Send all outgoing department mail, including but not limited to returned finance packages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Skills

  • Written Communication – Ability to write correspondence or response letters to dealers and customers.

  • Verbal Communication – Ability to speak to individuals, probe for information, and respond to questions.

  • Budgetary Development – Position does not have budgetary responsibility.

  • Project Management – Position works as part of a team that receives direction from the Senior Funding Manager.

  • Computer Skills – Paradata system, MS Office, credit reporting and loan decision software; ability to utilize software or technical applications and systems at an intermediate level, as needed.

  • Language Skills – Bilingual preferred.

  • Job Knowledge – The position requires proficiency in the key functions, along with two years customer service experience (one year of experience in banking/finance preferred).
  • Problem Solving Skills – Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form and to deal with problems involving some variables in standardized situations.
  • Level of Persuasion and/or Influencing of Others – The position requires interaction with customers and co-workers.
  • Mental Effort – Requires analysis and oversight of finance contracts on a functional level.
  • Level of Independent Judgment or Discretion – Primarily receives direction from the Regional Funding Manager, and their decisions are subject to review.

Education/Experience

  • 0 to 3 years experience
  • Any equivalent combination or experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
