Summary
Assist the Controller with the monthly financial closing process including the preparation of monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential duties and responsibilities include the following, other duties as assigned.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly Financial Statements.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Prepares monthly journal entries, account analysis, and monthly close tasks as assigned.
- Review monthly Prepaid Maintenance, Insurance and Inventory.
- Project Accounting.
- Lease Accounting.
- Prepare Backlog and Bookings Reports for CSC and ARM.
- Perform the development, maintenance and continual improvement of the standard cost system including standard cost review and maintenance.
- Weekly/Monthly cash maintenance, cash flows and reconciliation including reporting requirements.
- Weekly ABL reports for CSC.
- Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and improve processes within the Finance team and its interactions with other departments.
- Responsible for implementing and complying with all ethical and legal compliance requirements.
- Gathers data for internal and external audits.
- Various other financial analysis activities as assigned.
- Other duties & functions may be assigned to this position as needed.

Education and/or Experience
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in either accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 2-years public auditing experience with an emphasis in manufacturing
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and familiar with the entire Microsoft suite
- Familiarity with ERP software.
- Familiarity with Sox Compliance and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface and communicate with all levels of the organization.Competencies

The salary range specified is applicable to positions within the State of Illinois and reflects various factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, individual skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and the specific needs of our business and organization. At Astronics CSC, it is uncommon for new hires to receive an offer at or near the top end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are made based on the unique facts and circumstances of each candidate. The current estimated yearly salary range for this position is $82,500 to $110,000 per year. In addition, you will be eligible for our Quarterly Incentive compensation bonus. Astronics offers a competitive salary, along with opportunities for career growth.
