General Purpose: Provide general psychiatric health care, medication assisted training and treatment to patients at a variety of settings.
Supervision Received: Works under the direction of the New Directions Clinical Director and Medical Director.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform examinations within prescribed guidelines and under the general supervision of a physician.
- Order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess a patient's condition and needs.
- Record physical finding and formulate, plan and prognosis based on a patient's condition.
- Coordinate cases with primary care physician and other health care professionals to prepare a comprehensive patient care plan.
- Prescribe or recommend drugs or other forms of treatment.
- Refer patients to their primary care physician for consultation or to a specialized health resource treatment.
- Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Must interact amiably with co-workers, individuals and outside contacts.
- Complete documentation that meets EM coding requirements and ICD 10 requirements.
- Crisis evaluation and stabilization.
- Provide medical case management and care coordination between medical providers.
- Monitor and track labs.
- Flexibility in meeting client's where they are most comfortable (home or community if necessary).
- Provide Medication Assisted Treatment, follow all evaluations and induction procedures>
- Provide evaluations and assigned rounding to individuals within the Recovery Village Center - Crisis Respite and Detox services.

Education and/or Experience - Master degree as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant and four plus years of related experience and/or training. License Preferred.
Language skills - Ability to read, analyze and interpret general scientific and technical journals. Ability to respond to common inquires or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the community. Ability to write reports that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.
Reasoning Ability - The Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Must have and continue to have a valid/insurable driver's license.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work shall be performed within a variety of settings (Community Outpatient Mental Health, Primary Care, Co-occurring residential and Connections).
This position may require a varied work schedule, including nights and weekend coverage when necessary. This position requires the employee to dress in a professional manner at all times.
