Description

The primary function of the New Truck Sales Coordinator is to assist in the daily business ordering and delivering new medium and heavy-duty trucks, administer programs and promotions, and to maintain Sales reporting and CRM database.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the daily business of selling and delivering new medium and heavy-duty trucks within the company and Kenworth franchise policies.
  • Track new truck inventories by reviewing factory pre-bills and change order requests on ordered and stock trucks and assist and coordinate the scheduling of body installation or up-fitting on stock and customer ordered trucks as necessary.
  • Spec and order new Kenworth chassis using manufacturer provided quoting tools and maintain dealership communications with Kenworth Engineering & Application Engineers.
  • Check in new truck deliveries from the factory to ensure vehicle(s) delivered as ordered in good condition.
  • Administer programs and promotions and various other factory reports required to maintain high quality factory relations.
  • Provide assistance with truck specifications, technical reviews, dealer transfers and demos to outside sales personnel.
  • Produce and distribute sales promotions for direct mail and assist maintenance of CRM database system.
  • Administer advertising of new vehicle inventory on websites and additional media.
  • Ensure efficient communication of truck inventories and vehicle cost analysis necessary to accurately quote new vehicles between multiple locations.
  • Provide back-up for warranty registrations, dealer transfers, and customer deliveries.
  • Follows all accounting and procedural rules as outlined in the Sales Department Polices Book and the Company Employee Handbook.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to the Sales Manager.
  • Abides by the company Drug Free Policy.
  • Additional duties may be added as needed.

 
Position Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED, post-secondary education preferred.
  • Ability to communicate industry knowledge and experience to prospective customers.
  • Ability to utilize software programs, databases, and web-based applications as part of sales activities.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding and analytical skills to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, web-based applications, and business principals.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Work within team environment to support all company departments in a professional manner.
  • Actively participate within industry association events.
  • Successful proven sales experience record and industry knowledge within the heavy/medium duty and specialty market segments.
  • Valid Driver’s License and insurability, CDL preferred.
