Position Summary
The Safety Data Analyst is responsible for owning and elevating the quality, structure, and usability of safety data across produced water midstream operations by building and maintaining reliable, real-time safety systems with a strong emphasis on form development, data integrity, and user experience. This position is located in Houston, Texas, and reports to the Senior Vice President of Regulatory & Compliance.

Essential Job Duties
Builds and maintains a highly reliable, user-friendly safety data system to support operational needs
Drives data accuracy and consistency at the source through standardized processes and validation rules
Develops and continuously improves digital forms and workflows for efficiency and usability
Identifies, troubleshoots, and corrects data issues to ensure data integrity
Delivers real-time, trusted reporting systems to support operational decision-making
Designs, builds, and optimizes custom safety forms and workflows within KPA (Flex) and similar platforms
Configures systems for fast, intuitive usability for field personnel
Audits and improves data quality by identifying and resolving errors, inconsistencies, and gaps
Develops validation rules and standardized processes to prevent inaccurate data entry
Builds and maintains real-time dashboards and reporting tools
Integrates and manages data across multiple platforms (KPA, Samsara, spreadsheets, etc.)
Troubleshoots system issues and resolves data discrepancies in a timely manner
Collaborates with operations teams to align systems with real-world workflows
Trains field personnel on proper system use and accurate data entry practices

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in data systems, safety systems, or operational data environments
Demonstrated experience in data collection, organization, and analysis
Proven experience building and managing forms, workflows, or system configurations (KPA Flex, Samsara, or similar platforms)
Experience identifying, troubleshooting, and correcting data quality issues at the source
Strong understanding of data quality management, validation, and error resolution
Ability to quickly develop and deploy user-friendly digital forms and workflows
Ability to work independently, take ownership, and drive system performance improvements
Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and data integrity
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Able to travel as needed; travel limited.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience in data systems, safety systems, or operational data environments
Basic knowledge of oilfield operations and safety practices
Experience in produced water midstream operations (pipelines, SWDs, trucking, and facilities)
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
Experience with contractor management systems such as ISN and Veriforce
Familiarity with SQL, Python, or other data analysis tools
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Standard office environment
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while working at a desk and on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds
Occasional field visits required
