Position Description
Inventory Control Specialist Key Responsibilities Stock Monitoring: Track inventory levels in real time using software and identify when to reorder items. Auditing and Reconciling: Conduct regular cycle counts and spot-checks, investigating any discrepancies between physical stock and system data. Shipping and Receiving: Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, inspect goods for damage or missing parts, and prepare outgoing items. Organization: Label and store products safely and logically in a warehouse, stockroom, or distribution center. Reporting: Generate inventory reports and communicate findings or delays to management, purchasing, and logistics teams.
Skills Required
Technical Skills: Proficiency with spreadsheet programs (like Microsoft Excel) and Warehouse Management Systems. Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail for reviewing numbers, spotting trends, and solving discrepancies. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, use loading equipment (like pallet jacks or forklifts), and lift heavy packages (often up to 3550 lbs).
