Description

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented HR & Business Support Specialist with experience in both Human Resources to support and lead key business functions. This role will primarily focus on managing critical HR processes such as payroll processing, employee relations, and talent acquisition. While also assisting senior leadership in daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Massachusetts labor laws, a passion for improving workplace culture, and the ability to manage diverse administrative and HR tasks. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

HR Leadership & Talent Management 

Lead and execute key HR functions including payroll processing and review, performance management, employee relations, talent acquisition/retention, and compensation. 

Partner with leadership to implement HR programs and initiatives aligned with business goals. 

Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees on HR matters, ensuring effective communication and resolution of employee concerns. 

Conduct internal investigations, mediate conflicts, and support the development and implementation of corrective actions. 

Manage the recruitment process, from posting jobs to onboarding new hires. 

Administer employee benefits programs and support open enrollment processes. 

Strategic Support & Collaboration 

Act as a liaison between leadership and employees, ensuring alignment on company objectives and HR initiatives. 

Leverage HR tools and financial metrics to assist in business analysis and decision-making. 

Provide support to employees by overseeing site wide safety programs, documentation of workers compensation claims, and other ad-hoc tasks. 

Partner with leadership to implement strategies for improving employee engagement, organizational effectiveness, and team performance. 

 

 
Position Requirements

Education & Experience 

A minimum of 5 years of HR generalist experience, including employee relations, talent acquisition, and performance management (preferred). 

HR certifications (e.g., PHR) are a plus. 

Technical Skills 

Proficiency in Paychex or similar HR tools. 

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 

Core Competencies 

Excellent communication abilities, with the capability to interact with employees at all organizational levels. 

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure. 

Self-motivated with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and drive projects to completion. 

Strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage financial and HR data for informed decision-making. 

Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and discretion in all matters.
