Job Title: Shipping/Receiving/Inventory/Parts Driver
Reports to: Parts Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Compensation: $17.50 - $18.50 per hour
Summary: Ensures quality customer service through the efficient operation of the Warehouse/Shipping and Receiving Department as well as performing errands on behalf of the dealership to transport parts, vehicles and persons in a safe manner by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Loads and unloads delivery vehicles to include lifting and carrying merchandise and stocking in appropriate areas throughout the warehouse.*
- Unloads pallets and heavier materials.*
- Verifies quantities of deliveries and merchandise serial numbers by comparing merchandise to packing slips.*
- Receives and visually examines incoming deliveries for discrepancies or damages, stores in the appropriate area by manufacturer and notifies management of discrepancies.*
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area at all times.*
- Completes appropriate paperwork for deliveries and submits to management each day.*
- Completes customer orders to include obtaining appropriate material from storage in accordance with picking ticket.*
- Prepares shipments to include boxing materials, labeling with appropriate shipping information and completing appropriate paperwork.*
- Maintains stock orders as needed.*
- Communicates delivery problems to customers and management promptly.*
- Posting/reconciling of inventory.
- Maintains fuel & clean up of parts managers demo.
- Transports parts in designated vehicles in a timely manner.*
- Receives customer payments and issues receipts for deliveries.*
- Logs all deliveries in delivery register and submits invoices to Cashier.*
- Submits pertinent documents, associated parts and/or cash to Shipping/ Receiving, inventory control and/or Cashier.*
- Reads and prepares customer orders for delivery by retrieving parts from Parts Counter and packaging appropriately.*
- Loads and unloads delivery vehicles to include lifting and arranging merchandise according to assigned deliveries.*
- Examines customer parts and returns and determines acceptability in accordance with company policy.*
- Operates company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.* Non-employees cannot be in vehicle without permission from management.
- Ensures proper maintenance of delivery vehicle to include checking oil and fuel, keeping vehicle neat and clean and reporting all accidents/damage/malfunctions to Parts Manager.*
- Communicates with parts department via cellphone at all times.*
- Reports all customer complaints to Parts Manager immediately.*
- Perform errands as requested.*
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and less than one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior work related experience is helpful.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
