Martz Bus is seeking a dependable, customer-focused Porter / Ticket Agent to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while supporting the daily operations of our Wilkes-Barre and Scranton terminals.
The successful candidate will assist passengers with travel information, baggage handling, ticket sales, and terminal upkeep, helping ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our customers.
Schedule
Scranton Terminal
- Friday: 5:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 5:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Wilkes-Barre Terminal
- Sunday: 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Monday: 6:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Porter Responsibilities
- Assist passengers with baggage loading and unloading.
- Provide travel information and directions to customers on the platform.
- Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of terminal facilities, sidewalks, and surrounding grounds.
- Perform minor maintenance and housekeeping tasks as needed.
- Monitor terminal areas to ensure a safe environment for customers and employees.
- Assist with snow, ice, and debris removal as necessary.
Ticket Agent Responsibilities
- Sell bus tickets and process customer transactions accurately.
- Assist customers at the ticket counter with schedules, fares, and travel information.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to customer inquiries professionally.
- Handle customer concerns and resolve issues in a courteous manner.
- Maintain accurate records and balance cash receipts as required.
- Provide outstanding customer service at all times.
