At YOTEL Washington DC we are looking for a Catering Sales Manager who will have the ability to solicit, qualify and secure business in addition to growing existing accounts as. To reach success in this role you will need to display the ability to identify market patterns and trends and lead change as needed to protect customer share. Hotel and Restaurant Catering Sales Managers tend to be self-motivated and competitive individuals who have a strong drive to exceed goals set for them.
Essential Functions:

Attends all mandatory meetings and training classes
Implements the activities and strategies of the hotel catering sales team to maximize the generation of catering sales revenues and achieve goals
Responsible for forecasting their catering revenues on a weekly basis
Develops and maintains relationships with key clients in order to produce group and/or conference business, to include room sales, food & beverage sales, catering/banquet services, meeting room rental
Ensures actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan and to accurately report variances/projections
Insures Banquet Event Orders are created for each catering function
Keeps weekly log of activities to include prospecting calls, site inspections, inquiries as well definite, tentative and lost business
Develops and maintains good relationships with officials and representatives of the local community groups and companies. Also attends trade shows and events to generate catering business
Assists in training, conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to Catering Coordinator using company hiring standards and guidelines
Follows company policies and procedures and is able to effectively communicate them to subordinates
Any and all other duties deemed necessary by a member of management
Non Essential Functions:
