Summary

The Beverage Cart Event & Banquet Server is responsible for serving members and guests at events and banquet activities. The Beverage Cart Event & Banquet Server is responsible for assisting Catering and F&B staff in executing events; they may assist bartenders as needed for specific activities. The Beverage Cart Event and Banquet Server is responsible for executing the Beverage Cart Services when needed.

Position Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs related banquet set-up and take-down tasks as assigned.
  • Responsible for setting up and breaking down of Beverage Cart cleanliness and stocking.
  • Responsible for individually prepping bar supplies prior to the event.
  • Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating them or approaching them.
  • Takes beverage orders and serves food in specified station.
  • Follow all golf course rules and protocols when applicable.
  • Pour and refills wine, coffee, water, and other beverages served with and after the meal.
  • Clears soiled dishes and/or beverage glasses as needed.
  • Cleans all assigned work areas in kitchen and banquet areas, including liquor room and beverage cart.
  • Advises supervisor of any member or guest complaints as soon as they occur.
  • Assists in closing functions such as bussing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc., and re-setting the cart for next function.
  • Attends staff meetings including pre-service (line-up) sessions.
  • Consistently follows all food safety-related requirements.
  • May use Club vehicles to transport supplies, sundries, and similar in support of event operations.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned by shift leadership or Dining Room Captain.

 

Minimum Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Preferred: prior banquet and event serving experience.
  • Preferred: Prior successful employment with the Stock Farm Club in this or a related position.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of all order on arrival menu items, preparation methods, ingredients, garnishes, and wine list.
  • Ability to follow written and oral directions.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize responsibilities and to work independently.
  • Ability to follow standard operating procedures and to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain personal hygiene.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in highly fluid and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with diverse audience.
  • Ability to work with a team and interact with others in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of Stock Farm Club and member and guest information.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and image of the Stock Farm Club.
  • Ability to lift to 75 pounds.

 

Additional Requirements & Documentation

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess current TIPS training or be able to complete such training within 60 days of hire.
  • Must be able to pass employment background check and motor vehicle record checks.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license in accordance with the laws of the State of Montana; must be insurable under the company’s auto insurance policy.
  • Must be able to work variable schedule or irregular hours to include last-minute scheduling needs/changes and working split shifts based on needs of the Club operations and scheduled events.
  • Must be able to work holidays, weekday, weekend, and evening/late evening hours as required.
  • Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions as needed and to walk on uneven ground.
  • Ability to perform same-day travel on Stock Farm Property and within local geographic region.

 

 

Environmental & Physical Conditions

General physical activities. Work involves long periods of walking, standing, use of arms and legs, and movement of entire body. Work includes climbing; lifting; balancing; walking; stooping; pulling and pushing; kneeling, stooping, and bending; and safely lifting and carrying items up to 75 pounds. Work involves walking on uneven and slippery surfaces and in hot environments.
