Position Title: CAD Draftsman / 3D Modeler / Designer
Reports to: Director of Design
Job Summary:
Weber Creative is seeking a 3D modeler to produce high quality, creative model files for our fabrication process. This entails a variety of software platforms (see list below) with the files ultimately going to our CNC department for production. The items to be modeled range broadly from architectural environments to highly themed characters. Coordination with the Design department and our fabrication team is essential to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a full-time, exempt position.
Minimum Requirements:
• 3 years professional drafting experience
• 3D CAD Modeling for example: AutoCAD, Revit, Solidworks, etc.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2007 or higher
• Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
- Produce high quality (watertight) models from internal creative designs or concepts from clients.
- Produce renders from 3D model files for client approvals and visualization.
- Collaborate with the design team to determine 3D modeling scope and timelines.
- Work with CNC process team to ensure model files are in the correct format for machining.
- Collaborate with shop fabrication for integration with steel armatures and fiberglass
- Provide technical support to fabrication shop
- Prepare assembly drawings, BOMs and manual documentation
- Produce site utility attraction submittal plans

Valid driver's license-reliable transportation

Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Helpful Skills (not required):
Experience in mechanical assembly
Basic knowledge of plumbing, electric, building trades
