This position is responsible for the meticulous upkeep of grounds, amenities and building exteriors of the assigned community buildings.

Essential Functions:

  • Remove trash from office areas and apartment community perimeter
  • Assist in the preparation of market ready units, including remove trash from vacant apartments (trash outs) prior to make-ready
  • Assist maintenance team with snow removal (If applicable)
  • Assist in the troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problems
  • Deliver communication documentation to residents
  • Learns and ensures compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules
  • Contribute to resident retention programs
  • Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor

Lawn Maintenance

  • Low level landscaping projects
  • Water flowers in containers as needed in the summer.
  • Water grass and shrubs in the summer to prevent drying or browning.
  • Pull weeds in rock beds, sidewalk and driveway cracks and other areas.
  • Plant and nurture new trees, flowers, and various plants.
  • Trim bushes as needed.
  • Work with hand tools and basic light machinery (hedge trimmer, rake, shovel)
  • Maintain a clean garden by clearing rubbish and litter from the garden.
  • Update management on matters related to the gardening work.
  • Ensure a safe environment for staff and clients by adhering to safety and health regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to set priorities
  • Reliable transportation to travel to and between buildings with equipment and attend business meetings and trainings
