Summary
Fabricate skids for shipping of conveyors and all finished goods.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Fabricate wooden skids according to specifications for conveyors that are shipping.
Attach conveyor to skid assuring the safe shipping and movement of conveyor.
Read bill of materials, work orders, and calculate specifications.
Use power tools including nail guns, impact wrenches, and common hand tools.
Operate stand up lift and forklift.
Update and maintain skid building log.
Maintains inventory of wooden shipping materials.
Keep the area clean and organized.
Work in a team environment and follow safety rules.
Complete paperwork correctly and report labor accurately
Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
