Primary Responsibilities

The Coat Check Attendant is responsible in assisting members with their coats, jackets as well as briefcases and umbrellas. S/he is responsible for maintaining the coat check in accordance with The Quin standards, and ensuring high member and guest satisfaction.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB ELEMENTS

  • Provide leadership and instill a culture and work environment based upon respect; providing opportunities for staff to learn, grow and develop their abilities through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
  • Manage the coat check area and receive, put away and return guest garments from members and guests
  • Safeguard against theft and property damage
  • Assume 100% responsibility for the quality of services provided
  • Assist to investigate and resolve member complaints

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and reach with hands and arms and frequently ascend and descend multiple flights of stairs.  The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell.  The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

 

 
Position Requirements

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Prior experience preferred
  • Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
  • A strong team player who supports their team and embraces ownership, accountability, and responsibility for the team’s work
  • Ability to understand, read and write in English
  • Detail oriented, good prioritization, time management, organizational and follow up skills
  • Open availability and flexibility to work according to the needs of the business
  • Ability to work with minimal or no supervision
  • Ability to follow schedule and ability to perform physical labor
  • Some high school education (grade 9) preferred
