Position: Assistant Director of Operations – Food & Beverage

Primary Responsibilities
Responsible for working with the Executive Director of Operations, culinary, and food & beverage team to provide direction and leadership for the club’s restaurants. In collaboration with the Executive Director of Operations, the Assistant Director of Operations – Food & Beverage will drive the strategic direction of restaurant service, overseeing Café Q, Scottie’s, Pub, Reading Room, Little Bar, Sky Deck & Beverage. The Assistant Director of Operations – Food & Beverage is responsible for executing the vision of the leadership team for food and beverage, and leading relevant food and beverage managers and associates in achieving the operational and financial goals of their respective operations, monitoring their performance, and maintaining the facilities in accordance with The ‘Quin House’s world-class service standards.
ABOUT THIS ROLE
- Provide leadership to create a culture and work environment based upon respect; providing opportunities for staff to learn, grow and develop their abilities through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment
- Work with EDOO to oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated responsibilities in sales, costs, employee retention, member satisfaction, food & beverage, cleanliness and sanitation
- Develop and implement food & beverage strategy that aligns with organizational policies and goals
- Monitor and analyze each cost center’s financial performance and contribution to club’s profitability
- Monitor that all F&B preparation methods are in line with the concept, cost, and presentation and is presented in an acceptable manner.
- Hire, train, empower, coach and counsel food and beverage managers and staff and hold team accountable for all deliverables.
- Oversee service in all food and beverage assigned outlets to ensure standards of service are followed and ensure guest satisfaction are communicated, uploaded to member profile and applied in the operations.
- Direct the implementation of the payroll, reports, forecasts, inventory and budget for outlets
- Coordinate operations with other club departments to ensure efficient member service
- Enforce and implement SOPs to increase member and employee satisfaction
- Understand and adhere to all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs for The ‘Quin House
- Assume 100% responsibility for the quality of products served, and services provided, through our core values, and dining specific standards.
- Perform purchasing and inventory responsibilities on a daily/weekly basis
- Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
- Continually strive to develop the staff in all areas of managerial and professional development
- Oversee and ensure that policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis
- Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and local regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the club, employees and members
- Investigate and resolve member complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodation
- Assume any and all additional tasks assigned to you by your direct supervisor or Leader at The ‘Quin.
