Description

To use the daily schedule to coordinate the blending, unloading and storage of incoming ingredient oils. To perform all sanitation duties in the tank farm areas. To train new employees in the tank farm.

Using tank farm schedule review rail switch to ensure that all incoming railcars are received and in the correct spot prior to unloading. Communicate the information to Railroad, Production Scheduler, and QA as required. Ensure that oil in rail cars is mixed and heated prior to unloading., Ensure that oil in rail cars is pumped into the correct tank. Maintain oil at the correct temperature and monitor tank levels. Take required samples of all incoming oil to Quality Assurance Department.

To measure, daily, all storage and finished product tanks and record that information on the Unloading Report, prior to unloading any oil and at the completion of each unloading process.

Remove seals and record seal numbers on the Oil Unloading Procedures Checklist, and all other required information.

Complete any blending of additives, if required, by weighing and adding the additives, then document the information in the Additive Log.

Complete all sanitation duties as required in the tank farm areas. Complete all required paperwork, accurately and timely.

Follow all company policies and procedures. Comply with all GMPs, food safety and quality procedures to ensure that food safety and quality objectives are met. Comply with all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Report all safety, food safety and quality problems to management. Work cooperatively with others both those on your team and with on other teams.

Communicate any issues or problems to appropriate personnel and shift handoff to oncoming operator.

Other duties as required.

 
Position Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.   

Previous experience in railcar unloading or formulating experience in a manufacturing environment preferred..

Must possess excellent math and reading skills. 

Good hand and eye coordination is required.    

Ability to climb ladders and to perform job duties without fear of heights.            

Must be able to multi-task to perform required daily duties.                

Possess good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must be able to identify and report any food safety and food security issues.

To unload all incoming railcars and/or tanker trucks, move product from tanks, nixing and blending as required.. Monitor tank levels, agitators, and temperatures while performing duties. Maintain area to meet all sanitation requirements. Assist in training new employees.
