*Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the machinery, following ALL G.M.P. guidelines.
*Participate and/or conducts meetings concerning safety, quality, and productivity.
*Training all new and current employees. Assigning/scheduling work: meeting department quality and production standards and sanitation goals, ensuring data entry is complete.
Ensure that daily operational duties within department are carried out in a safe, timely, and efficient manner.
Ensure employee compliance with company and regulatory policies and understands and administers procedures fairly and consistently.
Assists in employees development thru training, coaching, recognition, and motivation to ensure dept. goals for production, safety, and quality are met.
Conveys routine directions and coordinates the activities of the department to ensure that efficient, accurate, and timely handling of production demands.
Reviews work stations to ensure daily operational activities are within compliance with standards. Develops, schedules, and coordinates department tasks, resources, work schedules, and equipment.
Reviews progress at work stations to ensure shift objectives are being met, alerts supervisor/scheduler in cases schedule changes need to occur based on productivity.
Demonstrates effective planning and organizing skills that allow the Dept. to show continuous improvement in areas of safety, quality, and productivity.
Promotes teamwork! Effectively guides conflict resolution. Defines/ recognizes and services the needs of the internal/external customers.
Assemble daily production reports, evaluating for proper documentation according to account standards. Enters information into the AS400.
Is able to multi-task, fill in at other positions, communicate verbally and thru written instructions when necessary.
Supports the SQF Program and promotes food safety.
Other duties as assigned.
