To provide legal and administrative support to the General Counsel, Associate General Counsel and Assistant General Counsel.
Provide administrative support to the Ventura Foods Legal Department, including maintaining files and Practice Manager database.
Type and edit legal and other documents, including, but not limited to, correspondence and project work from handwritten or typed materials. Copy, distribute, send, file or otherwise handle completed work. Proofread work product for accuracy, format, grammar, punctuation and syntax.\
Transactional assistance will include preparing and reviewing form confidentiality agreements and other contracts. Handle information of a confidential nature, such as salary or Company information for various purposes.
Serve as contact for Legal Department to people inside and outside the Company; provide litigation support as needed to respond to document production and subpoena requests.
Receive, sort and prioritize incoming legal matters, mail and correspondence. Answer telephone, screen and process telephone calls.Assist in maintaining Company books and records and state filings nationwide.
Support and provide back-up for Paralegal/Legal Assistant, Executive Assistants and other Assistants.
Arrange and coordinate all business travel. Schedule and coordinate department meetings, arrange use of conference rooms.
Perform other duties as assigned to include legal research, intellectual property matters, Company Policies and special projects.
