Under general supervision, performs a variety of duties including but not limited to: performing standard wet chemistry test on in-process materials, ingredients, and finished products. Must be able to distinquish colors and flavors of products. Other duties include clean up, maintenance of equipment, and other duties as assigned.

1. Gathering and testing of in-process and finished product for wet chemistry and organoleptic testing. Perform weight checks, package appearance, metal detection, vaccuums, label and code date verification.

2. Gathering and organizing micro and retained samples.

3.Communicates results of problems to appropriate departmental or operating personnel.

4. Makes batch adjustments to meet customer specification when necessary.Performs and documents calibration checks.

5. Maintains lab cleanliness, makes sure supplies are replenished for next shift.Assist in troubleshooting and investigating production issues

6.Support the SQF program and promote food safety

7. Other duties as assigned
