Ensure that all audit records meet or exceed all regulatory and customer's requirements.Monitor all records pertaining to audits i.e. HACCP, GMPs, Metal Detector, Lot Control etc.Help monitor incoming raw materials for HQ and customer's requirements ensuring that COAs are maintained and on file.Keep purchasing manager and QA Manager abreast of any non-compliant materials and to forward "Corrective Action Plan" to vendors.Monitor specification and label compliance.Maintain accurate records of COA's, Certificate of Insurance, Kosher Certification, label and packaging information.Maintain and update Audit Documents for select customers including Third Party Audit records for select suppliers.Monitor label for nutritional compliance.Inspect and sample all critical incoming raw materials as required QA Corporate Policy Manual which includes verification of COA, temperature and lot coding.Ensure and audit that HACCP CCP temperature records are filled out correctly at the recommended frequency per HACCP Plan; perform daily verification of records and file.Maintain ingredient files for COA's,Kosher, MSDS, and Labels.Relieve Microbiologist when sick or on vacation.Other duties as assigned by supervision.

Position Requirements

B.S. Degree in Food Science, Chemistry or releated scientific discipline.  An A.S. Degree with direct work experience will be considered in lieu of  B.S. degree or at least  5-10 years experience in a related position.  HACCP, Document Control and Raw ingredient receiving experience helpful.  Must have the ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.  Must utilize time in an efficient manner and be able to work with minimal supervision.  Must possess a basic understanding of chemical analysis and testing.  Must possess a basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel computer-based programs.  Must posess an understanding of rudimentary Algebraic equations and basic mathematical statistics.  Proven ability to work under pressure (in a extremely fast pace environment), meet aggressive deadlines and make effective decisions.  Must be able to communicate and work well with people from various departments: Maintenance, Production, Tank Farm Operators, Distribution, Receivers, and management.  Must be well organized and able work all shifts.
