Description

The World Class Manufacturing [WCM] Methodology Leader will provide strategic direction, leadership and functional expertise on the advancement and sustainability of WCM at production sites across the US. Sponsor transformational change that will help the US meet its business and productivity objectives. Direct assigned Plant WCM Managers providing coaching, training and development.

Incumbent will also be responsible for accelerating the WCM change efforts at assigned production plants by leading organizational/leadership development processes, promoting employee engagement, and driving quality and productivity improvements. Provide consulting with the site leadership team and other individuals regarding organizational effectiveness, operational improvements, and implementation and ongoing execution of best practices. Monitor progress and advance the transformation to world class over time through continued coaching. Provide support to location personnel to make certain that progress meets location targets.

Responsible for the oversight and indirect management of assigned plant WCM Managers

Establish and support individual and team performance goals that are attainable and aligned with business strategy

Maintain expert knowledge of WCM processes and coordinate with other WCM Methodology Leaders to ensure consistency across the business

Coach, support and develop employees on the team in a manner that helps them achieve performance results and fosters effective collaboration and teamwork while demonstrating and modeling our Core Values

Mentor Plant WCM Managers on effective practices, training and methodologies to manage behavioral, organizational and cultural improvement within assigned production plants

Develop the capabilities and offer ongoing recognition of WCM team members and site leaders to sustain current improvements and to identify and implement new improvement opportunities

Assess, monitor and report on progress for the US on the improvement plan for above site leaders

Provide coaching to above site leadership to advance and sustain improvement plan and continue building a coaching culture

Evolve current methodology based on feedback from key stakeholders to achieve even better results

Lead Improvement Projects utalizing standardized Lean Six Sigma tools and methods to either demonstrate concepts or achieve quick win resluts for operations customers.

 
Position Requirements

• Bachelors degree in engineering, business, organizational development, operations, or comparable technical field; advanced degree helpful
• Professional certifications and experience especially helpful in the field of performance development, training, organizational development, coaching, Lean or Six Sigma
• Experience and knowledge of production operations at the plant level
• Direct supervisory leadership experience preferred, especially with a virtual team

• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and implement organizational and cultural change and deliver results with proven influencing skills
• Be a recognized role model in key leadership development skills of feedback, coaching, listening, empowerment, and difficult conversations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills which include building rapport and maintaining strong relationships across all levels, sensitivity to individual and team needs, collaborating effectively to accomplish work, effective facilitation and teaching skills 
• Ability to communicate policies and procedures in a positive manner and ensure people are informed of relevant business information
• Ability to facilitate a high level of collaboration and teamwork among all members of the work group to promote engagement and get results
• Excellent conflict resolution and solution focused problem solving skills
• Results oriented with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret information from a variety of sources
• Project management capability with effective time management skills and ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
• Ability to see the big picture translating details into an organizational perspective
• Knowledge and strong working competence in MS Office toolset
