Description Performs a variety of engineering functions of intermediate scope involving planning, development, design and installation of equipment, processes and processing automation systems. They also utilize the principles of math, science and engineering to make industrial manufacturing and production processes and products more efficient and dependable. Provides technical support to the facility to meet customer needs and look for ways to save costs while maintaining reliable products and production methods, such as adjusting materials, equipment and employees used in the production process.

Particpate in Continuous improvement processes for equipment reliability. Including: PM improvement activities, root cause problem solving, real time downtime analysis, throughput improvement, error proofing,Prepare RFE's, obtain quotes, and estimates of project costs and completion. Responsible to manage projects to budget of approved RFE. Utilize in-plant personnel and outside contractors for installation and completion of capital projects.

Drive energy and utility improvements through data acquisition and analysis of energy and waste streams. Evaluate processes to continuously reduce consumption.



Comply and enforce all GMP, Safety, Quality Policies, and HACCP, as well as all other company policies and procedures as required in this position.


Provides input to a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related and non-reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operations.Develops engineering solutions to repetitive failures and all other problems that adversely affect plant operations.

These problems include capacity, quality, cost or regulatory compliance issues. To fulfill this responsibility, the reliability engineer applies Data analysis techniques that can include:
Statistical process control
Reliability modeling and prediction
Fault tree analysis
Weibull analysis
Six Sigma (6s) methodology
Root cause analysis (RCA) and root cause failure analysis (RCFA)
Failure reporting, analysis and corrective action system (FRACAS)

Works with Production to perform analyses of assets including: Asset utilization,Overall equipment effectiveness, Remaining useful life and Other parameters that define operating condition, reliability and costs of assets.

Maintains drawings of the facility and equipment.Other duties as assigned by management.
 
Position Requirements

BS in Mechanical,Chemical Engineering a minimum of 3-5 years in related field.

Emphasis on project management, safety, total productive maintenance, lean manufacturing, visual factory concepts. ACAD capable. Effective interpersonal skills. Excellent written and verbal communication/presentation skills. Excellent computer skills and technical documentation.
