This position has the responsibility for performing duties within the human resources function including recruiting, staffing, and consulting according to established policies and procedures.  The Recruiter is responsible for ensuring all recruitment and staffing practices conform to governmental and employment regulations. 

 

Nature and Scope

This position is responsible for the recruitment and staffing needs of Allegacy Federal Credit Union and its subsidiaries.  This individual will continually development and maintain the Applicant Tracking System, proactively build talent pipelines, ensure time to fill goals are met while also ensuring a quality of hire.

 

Specific Accountabilities

  • Conduct recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt employees.
  • Create a remarkable internal and external candidate experience that provides timely communication, fair feedback, and hires that match our Synergy Culture.
  • Create, implement and sustain a differentiating employment brand that attracts future candidates to our organization as an employer of choice.
  • Demonstrate the ability to be an active networker by building relationships internally as well as externally in order to increase the organizations reputation and talent pool.
  • Create effective marketing strategies to include digital and non-digital platforms.
  • Demonstrate superior grasp of current and future technologies by using recruitment analytics to drive strategy.
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns in order to manage recruitment budget efficiently.
  • Prescreen, interview and evaluate candidates prior to presenting to the hiring management team.
  • Schedule and conduct in person interviews, skills assessments, and provide feedback to management team regarding placement potential and eligibility.
  • Source candidates by utilizing referrals, internal database, networking, researching job boards and social media sites, and ad placements.
  • Stay knowledgeable of the entire hiring process and ensures compliance of hiring guidelines, internal reference requirements, level of applicant education and/or experience requirements, and internal evaluations.
  • Organize and participate in Job Fairs.

Education and Experience

Education Required: Associate Degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field

Education Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field

Experience Required: 2 to 5 years of progressive, increasing responsibility within the recruiting area of Human Resources.  Successful incumbent will have prior experience developing sophisticated recruitment strategies to include an active understanding of social media platforms.

Certification Preferred: PHR certification
