All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected by law.   Description EHS Technologies is seeking qualified Senior Electrical Engineer to provide customer support  to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) Code 981 is supporting the Office of Naval Research (ONR) on their analysis of Medium Voltage DC (MVDC)  Power System stability.   This position is a part-time project and will conclude upon delivery of below referenced products. Responsibilities The contractor employee shall assist the MVDC Power Stability Team in the conduct of the following types of activities: • Research into the definition of stability as related to DC power architectures. • Identify the critical components that appropriately bound the analysis. • Support the development of a relevant medium voltage DC architecture model. • Investigate and propose methods for quantifying the stability of the medium voltage DC power system. • Participate in weekly meetings Deliverables: 1) Architecture model and its Model Description Document 2) Journal Paper 3) Final Report   Position Requirements Qualifications / Requirements PhD in Electrical Engineering. Understanding DC stability, analytically, as well as through simulation will assist the Navy in its power system architecture design process. Must be a US citizen and currently possess or have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
