Technical Sales Representative (Mobile Apps)

Position Description

The Technical Sales Representative (Mobile Apps) will have experience selling mobile payments products and “cloud-based” services delivered using a reoccurring revenue model. The candidate should also have knowledge of the merchant services/ISO business and the skill to work with merchant services providers to sell a “white-labeled,” secure mobile payment app and associated gateway services.

A successful candidate for this position must be a self-starter, quick learner, and have the ability to learn and effectively demonstrate the offered solution.

Essential Functions

  • Network and conduct cold calls to develop new opportunities and accounts
  • Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending tradeshows and conferences
  • Leverage existing contacts to uncover potential leads and new business
  • Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements and industry-specific solutions
  • Answer prospective customers’ questions about Shift4’s value proposition
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of Shift4 products, and to provide Sales support
  • Travel to offsite meetings, tradeshows, user groups, etc., to represent Shift4 and its solutions
  • Keep abreast of industry news, trends, products, and services; stay informed on legacy, existing, and emerging payment technologies

  • Ability to organize, multi-task, solve problems, and make critical decisions without supervision
  • Must be a team player who can work with others to quickly and efficiently complete assigned tasks

Education and Experience

  • B.A./B.S. or equivalent experience
  • Payment industry and technology experience is a must
  • Gateway and merchant services experience is a plus
Shift Days  
Salary Range Compensation includes base salary and a portion of the reoccurring revenue stream of those he or she manages (no compensation limit). A comprehensive benefit package is also included.
