Facilities Support Specialist 


The Facilities Support Specialist provides basic logistics support, to include, inventory management, Move Add Change (MAC) support, room setups, office furniture confirmations, minor building maintenance and other logistics functions, as required by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA). Conducts duties and responsibilities IAW agency's and department's policy and applicable OSHA and security regulations. Possesses analytical and specialized technical skills which will enable him/her to perform all aspects of the job in a timely, responsive manner. He/she will exercise independent judgment, as well as a moderate level of problem-solving ability within the scope of work. He/she will work under moderate supervision using his/her initiative in performing job duties. Ability to coordinate and communicate with diverse customer base, vendors, task leads, Government leads and others is necessary for this position. May be subject to Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility at the date of hire.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

General Office Support

• Respond to customers inquires and provide information within established guidelines.

• Perform basic data entry using the Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) Tool and other computer equipment. File documents in accordance with established procedures.

• Enter all tasks, as appropriate, into the CAFM Tool.

• Report status of service request.

• Participate in cross-functional working groups for process improvement or customer service satisfaction.

• Assist the Procurement section when needed

• Restock paper for copies, kitchen supplies, when required

Facilities Support Specialist Duties

• Organize, schedule, and coordinate with DARPA customers to repair or fix reported facility service request for maintenance. Check all service ticket requests for accuracy.

• Perform interoffice moves, safe moves, and furniture reconfigurations.

• Move furniture between onsite and offsite storage facilities, as required.

• Repair broken furniture and coordinate warranty repairs for furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).

Mandatory Requirement: Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility for access to classified information, Secret clearance level.
