Job Summary

The Electronics Technician is responsible for the maintenance, rental and sale of personal monitors, quad head monitors, Rig Rat monitors, WASP and associated gas detection equipment.  Directly report to: Station Manger

 

Duties/Responsibilities

HSE Equipment:

  • Install, service and calibrate HSE Integrated and customer gas detection equipment
  • Learn and understand drill rigs and rig sites to be able to install equipment in a professional manor

 

Rental Equipment:

  • Maintain/Calibrate/Repair all portable monitors, wireless and hardwire systems
  • Sign out equipment to jobs
  • Light bars

 

Other Duties:

  • Sales of equipment and rentals to HSE customers
  • Work closely with sales team to assist with, and develop new and existing customers
  • Work directly with customers on all gas detection needs
  • Clean and organize shop
  • Repair/Calibrate equipment for customers
  • Electronic board repairs
  • Maintain parts inventory
  • Work with Environment Monitoring personnel to understand the EMUs, CARMEN, fugitive emissions and WASP technology and assist station staff and customers with deployment of those units.
  • Work with Carmen Technicians to understand Carmen
  • Other assigned duties at the discretion of management

Safety Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper PPE is worn.
  • Maintain an eye for any hazards and deal with appropriately.
  • Report all incidents to your manager immediately.
  • Complete all necessary safety paper work daily while on job

 

 

 

 
Position Requirements

 

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Prior experience and aptitude for working with electronics
  • Strong dedication to customer service is imperative
  • Sales experience would be an asset
  • Microsoft office competency
