Description

The Operations Coordinator is responsible for receiving customer calls, dispatching the necessary equipment and qualified personnel, and recording the status of all equipment and personnel assigned to or working at their station.

Duties/Responsibilities

  •  Perform duties for dispatching of equipment & personnel for Operations, as outlined in “HSE Integrated Operations Manual” & “HSE Integrated Operations Protocol”
  •  Perform and maintain all required records for dispatching duties
  •  Perform all duties as outlined in the “Operations Daily Duties” document
  •  Operate the Spira operations system as outlined
  •  Maintain a mature and professional attitude at all times. This includes remaining alert and clear-headed during evenings and weekends away from the office
  •  Maintain a thorough knowledge of all HSE Integrated products and services
  •  Show excellent customer relations skills and relationships with other employees
  •  Maintain a basic competency and understanding in all divisions of HSE Integrated business including Air, Fire, Medical, Industrial and Special Services
  •  Logistically move equipment and personnel in an efficient and cost effective manner
  •  Assist Admin staff in reconciling and price checking field work orders
  •  Check and relay road conditions for weather, weight restrictions or other hazards to personnel and equipment
  •  Troubleshoot incidents that occur with field personnel in regards to directions, and equipment failures / breakdowns, in consultation with their station manager
  •  Handle Emergency phone calls from clients and follow the proper notification and mobilization procedures as outlined in the “Emergency Response Protocol” on FLOW
  •  Communicate with and assist Sales (field and corporate), Safety, Fleet Services, Payroll, Human Resources, IT and the Resource Pool
  •  Cope with high pressure situations and constant highs and lows, but also be able to task themselves when activity is slow
  •  Assist with the identification and reporting of damaged equipment to HSE maintenance personnel
  •  Participate in the HSE Integrated Safety Program and comply with all applicable safety responsibilities as laid out in the HSE Integrated Health & Safety Administration Manual
 
Position Requirements
  •  Previous relevant safety experience and/or a minimum of 3 years field experience with knowledge of equipment and
  •  personnel requirements for Air, Medical, Fire/Shower, Industrial and Special Services
  •  Previous dispatching experience is an asset
  •  Strong interpersonal and organization skills
  •  Ability to multi-task effectively
  •  Possess a pleasant and articulate telephone manner
