Position Requirements

The Institutional Processor provides accurate and timely support for Institutional Client Services by processing basic account transfers and processing basic account distribution requests, and also:

  • Reviews transfer and distribution paperwork to determine accuracy, completeness and proper authorizations.
  • Establishes and maintains transfer and distribution images.
  • Produces additional documentation required for transfers-in, such as letters of acceptance and omnibus letters, as needed.
  • Initiates transfer-in requests by mailing transfer paperwork or submitting via ACATS.
  • Processes exception item postings.
  • Follows up with contra firms regarding transfer status until the transfer is complete.
  • Processes cash disbursements from accounts to contra-firms, account owners or other third-party payees via check, ACH and wire methods.
  • Determines, assesses and collects any fees applicable to cash disbursements.
  • Facilitates accurate and timely processing of transfers and distributions by communicating with internal departments by requesting additional paperwork, asset review and set-up, omnibus accounts and other items.
  • Participates in small groups to review processes and procedures and make suggestions on how to improve them
  • May participate in department and company projects and initiatives
  • Other duties and assignments as directed

Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma or the equivalent is required. Must have 1 - 2 years of client service in an office environment.  Financial industry knowledge is preferred.

Typing of 40-45 wpm and 10-key skills required. Must be computer savvy and able to learn new programs quickly.  Must be able to use basic office machinery on a daily basis. Must be able to communicate effectively in English via telephone, written communications and e-mail.  Must be able to design basic Excel spreadsheets and Word documents.

Must have a keen sense of prioritization, organization and urgency. Must pay attention to details and maintain an organized workflow. Must be able to contribute to the success of the team as well as one’s self.  Must maintain rapport with internal and external clients.  Must be able to use information from different sources and synthesize the information to accomplish tasks.
