Field Administrator - Part-Time

Working with Savanna Well Servicing in our Nisku, Alberta location, this part-time (2-3 days per week) position will involve the following:

 Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following):

  • Attend to the switchboard in a prompt, courteous, friendly, and professional manner, directing calls to the appropriate parties;
  • Serve visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of visitor arrival;
  • Maintain both outgoing and incoming mail and courier packages, including distribution into appropriate mail boxes, stamping and mail drop off;
  • Perform general office duties such as data entry, filing, photocopying, faxing, and supply ordering;
  • Update and maintain office phone list;
  • Maintain the reception area, ensuring a neat and organized work area;
  • Enter all new employee information into the appropriate databases (ATS, PST Calendar, EDV & RTG List), upon Crew Resourcing request;
  • Prepare, handle, and coordinate documentation from applicants and new hires, ensuring paperwork/hiring packages/driver files are forwarded to appropriate departments;
  • Schedule & complete orientations, upon Crew Resourcing request;
  • Issue Competency Books upon completion of Orientation;
  • Issue Safety Gear as requested;
  • Forward all changes in employee contact information to Crew Coordinator to update in databases;
  • Generate & complete purchase orders as required;
  • Issue Vendor Requests to Head Office as required;
  • Update Spira monthly mileage for all company pick-up trucks based out of field office/shop;
  • Print and submit time sheets, invoices, and other accounting documents;
  • Ensure all employee referrals are submitted to HR Coordinator prior to employee’s first day worked;
  • Assist other staff and provide job back up;
  • Other duties as required.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • A friendly, outgoing personality and ability to work with individuals, groups and other organizations to carry out goals;
  • Tact and the ability to stay calm;
  • Knowledge of general office procedures;
  • Effective organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision;
  • Ability to multi task;
  • Excellent customer-service skills;
  • Strong to excellent computing skills.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent;
  • 1 to 2 years related industry experience.
