GENERAL SUMMARY

Primary Responsibilities: 

  1. Model a high energy, world-class sales and service culture within the credit union.
  2. Develop internal and external relationships to promote the credit union and its mission, vision, and strategic direction.
  3. Provide quality service to our members and other areas of the organization.  

Primary Qualifications: Passionate and enthusiastic. Must have the ability to provide outstanding, efficient, high quality customer service to both internal and external customers. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Live the Kohler Credit Union Mission, Vision and Values within the organization and our communities.
  2. Provide leadership to staff to maximize their performance and help advance their growth and development.
  3. Manage and coach to performance metrics to achieve or exceed the credit union’s goals.
  4. Instill an energetic, world-class sales and service culture that continually strives to improve the way we serve our members.
  5. Establish and monitor efficiency standards for all consumer (direct and indirect) and mortgage lending functions to ensure efficient, timely and accurate delivery of loans to our members.
  6. Develop growth and profitability goals for the consumer and mortgage lending areas. Works with SVP/CLO and SVP/COO to establish and achieve these goals.
  7. Ensures the consumer and mortgage lending areas comply with all federal and state regulations along with Kohler Credit Union’s loan policy.  This includes developing training curriculum, training and monitoring for actual compliance.
  8. Develop, maintain and disseminate policies, procedures and programs related to the consumer and mortgage lending functions.
  9. Build strong relationships with new and existing members as well as internal staff that are fostered by trust and respect.
  10. Works with the SVP/Chief Lending Officer to establish budgets for areas of responsibility, and to help set the strategic direction for mortgage and consumer lending.
  11. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or deemed necessary to meet the credit union’s goals and objectives.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities                 

  1. Passionate and enthusiastic.
  2. Strong leadership skills; including problem solving, coaching, motivating and selling ideas.
  3. Knowledgeable in consumer and mortgage lending policies, procedures and state and federal lending regulations.
  4. Strong communication and organization skills.
  5. Highly motivated to achieve strategic goals.
  6. Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
  7. Knowledgeable of consumer and mortgage lending platforms.
  8. Knowledge of secondary market mortgage lending rules and guidelines.
 

Position Requirements

Education and Experience:

            This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance and a minimum of 5 years experience leading a mortgage/consumer lending department.

Employees must comply with government and other regulations affecting the credit union industry including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act and The USA Patriot Act.

Working Conditions: Normal office working conditions with the absence of disagreeable elements.
