Working knowledge of basic electrical as well as mechanical is required. Mechanics must be available any day of the week, including weekends. They don't rotate but might be moved during their career to the shift that best fits our business needs at the time. They must be available to work a 6 day work week on a regular basis. They must be willing to be part of our hazmat and fire response team if we train them. This requires the use of an SCBA or respirator, which requires the employee to be clean shaven at all times. The employees are also on call for emergencies. Food manufacturing experience preferred.

Those with more extensive electrical training and work experience may qualify as a maintenance electrician. Maintenance electricians are still responsible to do mechanical work but they are also assigned the electrical projects and get paid a higher wage than mechanics.
