We are seeking a hands-on EDI Analyst with strong communications skills to work directly with customers, suppliers, partners and end users to troubleshoot and install electronic transactions interfaces with customers, suppliers, and business partners. 

This position is located at our corporate headquarters in Midtown Cleveland. 

Job Duties Include:

  • Perform troubleshooting, analysis, problem solving, exception handling, and re-processing as necessary to ensure reliable operations and business efficiency
  • Develop, test, and install electronic transaction interfaces with customers, suppliers and 3rd party business partners. Interfaces include all EDI transactions and XML messages.
  • Work directly with our customers, suppliers, and 3rd party partners to analyze their data requirements and transaction/message specifications. Conduct unit testing and end-to-end testing with customers, suppliers, and other business partners
  • Partner with internal business sponsors to set priorities, report status, identify and resolve issues to meet business requirements, time lines and processing efficiencies
  • Develop, test, and maintain EDI process flows, document maps and configurations
  • Mentor and cross-train other team members on EDI standards and EDI and business processes
  • Ensure reliable and effective eBusiness operations by monitoring eBusiness production systems including EDI monitoring tools, EDI VANs, FTP file servers and business processes
 
Position Requirements

Requirements:

  • 2+ years experience with EDI transaction and messaging structures including ANSI X12, UN/EDIFACT, XML and CXML
  • Solid understanding of the key business data and transactional process flows used in procure-to-pay function and order-to-cash process
  • Proven success in developing and maintaining effective business relationships
  • Use of proper English grammar, written and verbal
  • 4 year degree in IT, business administration or related field OR a 2-year degree from a technical college OR equivalent work experience
  • Proof of authorization to work for any employer in the United States

Preferred:

  • SAP ECC experience, IDOC processing experience, SAP Netweaver PI (XI) experience
  • Familiar with formal IT governance frameworks such as CMMI maturity models, SOX computer controls, ITIL
  • Familiarity with formal IT development methodologies, ex: SAP ASAP, Rational Unified Process
  • Industrial distribution industry experience
