Looking for a highly successful outside sales professional for a Territory Sales and Education Representative position in the Natural/Health Food Channel. Report to Channel Sales Director, West. Territory Sales and Education Representative will call on existing retail health food accounts and open new accounts in the San Francisco Bay area. Some overnight travel is required. You will build sales momentum by thoroughly understanding and utilizing Company’s sales, marketing and educational programs.  You will be responsible for achieving set sales goals by utilizing your professional sales, merchandising, and education skills.  Put your critical thinking skills to work and partner with your accounts to achieve immediate success.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Advertise and sell products and services of Rainbow Light to current and perspective customers
  • Ability to educate current and perspective customers to drive product adoption
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals stemming from field activity
  • Establish and maintain materials relating to sales and knowledge of current products
  • Develop and maintain the relationships with current customers and potential customers as well
  • Take part in events to market the products such as seminars, trade shows, etc.
  • Supply of direct and detailed training to new sales staff
  • Help the company implement its marketing plans as required
  • Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Minimum Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • A minimum of five years outside sales experience; experience in Natural Food channel required
  • Five year base preferred due to business concentration
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to identify key areas of opportunities for sales development
  • Big-picture and "return on investment" orientation
  • Confidence in presenting, education and small group training venues
  • Excellent analytical, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain an appropriate routing in designated geographic territory
  • Ability to cultivate new accounts
  • Proven ability to increase sales
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proven Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
