Purpose

The HR Business Partner I is responsible for overseeing the Human Resources function for a single community location in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure that quality personnel are interviewed, trained, and employed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma and at least five (5) years of personnel or HR experience; College degree or HR Certification (I.e., SHRM-CP, PHR) highly preferred.
  • Understanding of various HR functions (employee relations, employment law, Workers’ Compensation, unemployment, recruiting, and onboarding).
  • Demonstrated leader/multi-tasker, communication skills, and ability to work effectively with staff, residents, families, and external agencies.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and manage sensitive personnel matters.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Essential Functions

  • Support and implement HR policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance for the facility.
  • Manage recruitment, hiring, onboarding, credentialing, and employment eligibility processes.
  • Maintain accurate personnel records, payroll documentation, attendance records, and disciplinary files.
  • Oversee Workers’ Compensation and unemployment claims and coordinate with appropriate agencies.
  • Provide orientation, training support, policy interpretation, and foster positive employee relations.

Schedule

  • Fully onsite, including some weekends, evenings, and Holidays.
