The Nurse Manager reports to the Facility Physicians. Responsibilities: Provide clinical oversight and guidance for nursing staff, medical assistants, etc. Ensure facility compliance with current healthcare regulations Ensure patient satisfaction Establish office policies and procedures Schedule staff to meet operational requirement Supervise patient scheduling and registration Monitor and evaluate staff performance Hire and train clinical staff Ensure patient records are current and complete Oversee payroll Supervise & support the nursing staff (LPNs & MAs) Set weekly schedule Receive/approve PTO request Oversee patient care Coordinate monthly staff meetings Interview new personnel   Category Nursing   Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt   Location Stony Brook Gynecology & Obstetrics - OB/GYN   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Position Requirements Qualifications: New York State License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse Minimum 2 years management experience Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records Excellent communication, decision making, leadership and problem solving skills Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations Key Competencies: Planning and organizing Communication skills Attention to detail Adaptability Customer service orientation Problem solving Judgment Decision-making Confidentiality Integrity Stress tolerance Salary Range: $88,000-$105,000 annually Physical Demands: May spend a great deal of their professional day walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies. Ability to lift 20 pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients or objects may involve lifting of up to 50 pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds.
